The GE Leakwise range of floating oil on water detectors provide an easy to install, low maintenance solution to the detection of oil and hydrocarbon pollutants in retention pits and ponds.

As environmental concerns mount regarding our global water resources, Leakwise Hydrocarbon Sensor Systems provide state of the art solutions for the early detection and mitigation of water pollution events. The Leakwise range of oil sensors have been applied to oil refineries, seaport authorities, water municipalities and power generation facilities.

The Leakwise oil detection sensors use high frequency electromagnetic energy absorption floating sensors, which enable reliable monitoring of hydrocarbon on water regardless of dirt or oil coating of the sensor or change in water level or water salinity.

The Leakwise ID-221 and ID-223 sensors provide an early warning system for potential oil leaks. These systems are generally used for environmental detection applications and allow a continuous, on-line detection of hydrocarbons starting at 0.3 mm of oil thickness.

The Leakwise ID-225 sensor series provides an oil thickness monitor for the control of oil/water separators. The Leakwise hydrocarbon thickness monitors provide linear detection of hydrocarbon layers in the range of 1–200 mm or greater.
